Do I need an appointment?
Yes, you will need an appointment as we work one on one to help find your dream wedding dress. First fittings are usually 90 minutes and we have found this is a good amount of time to try on our selection of gowns and revisit any of your favourites. If you want to go away have a think about your short list we will do a 60 minute retrial. The boutique is hired out exclusively for your party for the duration of your time with us.
To book an appointment please visit the contact page and fill in the contact form
What should I bring?
We recommend nude, seam free or smooth underwear if you are looking at more fitted gowns.
If you have a strapless bra, feel free to bring this along. After trying on a few dresses you may find that you won’t need to wear a bra, but we don’t want you to feel out of your comfort zone.
If you have a pair of heels similar to those you are planning on wearing for your big day, please bring those. You may not wear them during the appointment but if you decide to go for a dress it will give us an idea on dress lengths.
Who should I bring?
This is a personal choice, we would recommend bringing those who’s opinion you value the most.
Bringing 1-3* people who know you the best should provide you with the support needed in making decisions. If you wish to go solo on your first appointment, you are more than welcome, and our staff are on hand with years of knowledge if you have any queries.
*We are aware that as of the 19th July the covid restriction changed, We still ask that you only bring a maximum of 3 adult (18+) guests as we are only a small shop and our staff are still trying to adhere to social distancing where possible.

What are your samples sizes?
Our in store samples range from 8-28 and we are able to order dresses from size 4 up to 32+.
Not every dress will be a perfect fit, but we will try our best to give you a clear vision of how the dress will look.
Sometimes the designer can offer different sample sizes, but they tend to be the model samples.
When is the best time to start searching for my dream wedding dress?
There is no right or wrong answer to this question, we have girls ordering 2 years before their wedding date, and we have girls who have brought dresses a week before their wedding.
We believe a year before your wedding is a good time to start looking at dresses as there is no pressure to have to make a decision at this time, the styles you have looked at will still be in season, and you will get an idea about how the dress will feel for the time of year.
How long does it take for a new dress to arrive?
Many of our gowns are made to order. Depending on the dress and if you require any design changes, the order to delivery time can take approximately 4-6 months.
Rush orders are available on some designs at an extra cost, and many dresses are available from the designers stock .
What happens when I find my dream wedding dress?
To place an order we require a 50% deposit, the remaining balance is due once the dress arrives with us from the designer. For Off The Rail gowns the payment is due in full.
We will take your measurements to establish what size you will need, please remember the designer sizes come up small compared to high street sizes due to the structure of the dress. The measurements will be logged on a Size Contract which you will need to sign off.
We will need you to read through our Terms & Conditions and sign them to say you understand them, a copy will be provided with your receipt.
Once we have completed all the paper work you will have the opportunity to have your photo taken with our “I said yes to the dress” sign and then you can head home to celebrate your purchase and relax that another item is crossed of your to do list.
How do dress alterations work?
The dresses are not made to measure, so they may require some alteration work.
The cost for alterations aren’t included in the dress price as the seamstresses we work with only charge for the work they carry out.
Standard alterations (Hem, sides, straps etc) are approximately £175-£275, this can vary on the material and dress design.
If you wish to make changes to the design of the dress or have a jacket/ sleeve / top made, we will always consult a seamstress first to confirm they are happy to carry out the work. The cost for this will not come under the standard alteration cost and will depend on the materials being ordered in.
Can you get in a dress that you don’t normally carry?
If the dress is by one of our designers we can usually get a sample from them.
A loan fee is required to book out the dress and we would need to check available dates with the designer.
The loan samples are usually in model sizes (Blue by Enzoani, love & Élysée Size 8, Élysée Édition Size 24, White Rose 8 & White Rose Graceful Size 18, )
Throughout the year we hold Trunk Shows for our designers. This is an opportunity for us to have in between 8-20 dresses from current collections. During trunk shows we are also able to offer discount to brides on dresses ordered over the show weekend.
Am I able to take photos?
We will always aim to leave enough time at the end of your appointment to revisit the dresses you felt best in, we suggest waiting till this time to take photos.
This allows time to try more dresses, and won’t confuse you with photos of a dress that you didn’t feel comfortable in.
Do the dresses only come how the sample shows them?
The dresses we have in store are available in multiple colour ways, some are available with a lined or unlined bodice, and some come with the option of having a shorter train or adding extra length to trains.
We can talk you through all the options during your appointment. There is also the option of being able to add/change buttons, change strap designs, add hemlace and add sparkle tulle layers.
